It has been back on our screens for four weeks now and I am thoroughly conviced that The Thick Of It is Armando Iannucci's second greatest creation after Alan Partridge. For anyone who hasn't seen it here's a brief summary here.
The lastest series has seen Hugh Abbot, played by Chris Langham, been replaced with Nicola Murray, played by Rebecca Front, as The Head Of Social Affairs and Citizenship and she is no less tormented by the very very very sweary Director of Communications Malcolm Tucker played by the brilliant Peter Capaldi. Basically if you like satire, swearing, and previous Ianucci creations you will love this. Episodes 1-4 are avaliable on iplayer:

It's on every Saturday at around about tennish on BBC 2, there are another four episodes in this series and I am eagerly anticipating them. Get on it.
