Animals

Ever since I was a small boy I have always had a fascination with animals. I love going to the zoo, is there honestly a better way to spend £15-£20 on a day out. I think my mum still has loads of small plastic animals from my childhood that I used to line up and play with. I dread to think how much money my parents spent on them from the Early Learning Centre in Barnsley (RIP).

I think it's the variety of animals that are out there that is the greatest thing about it. I still vividly remember seeing a Polar Bear at Glasgow Zoo, which is sadly not there anymore. I think If I didn't indulge myself in music so much and I was better at science I would love to be able to have done something like zoology at university. The king of animal studies as we all know is the legend that is David Attenborough

What a legend. He has been face to face with gorillas, he has seen the elusive snow leopard in it's natural habitat and a killer whale seizing a sea lion right from the coast. If ever kids needed a role model as how to grow old gracefully here he is. A true king. If only he was my grandad. If you click this link all of Attenborough's greatest moments are here.

My favourite clips are the one with the orangutans, the one with the lyrebird and the very disturbing one of the chimpanzees hunting the colobus monkey.
